The Beauty of Decay

I pretty much flipped out in a frenzy of awe and amazement when I saw these GORGEOUS photos… they’re from this japanese website (廃墟デフレスパイラル ~ぼくたちの秘密の場所~ ; http://home.f01.itscom.net/spiral/research3.html) that has albums upon albums of beautiful photos of abandoned buildings and towns and even amusement parks. Here are a few carefully chosen favorites (and I’ve only hit the tip of the iceberg when it comes to this site! I could spend HOURS…) that are inspiring me right now (the colors! the lines! the triumph of nature over human attempts to control the natural environment!…okay, I’m getting all intellectual and verbose, so I’ll stop, but JUST LOOK AT THESE PICTURES! SO BEAUTIFUL!)

The light in all these photos is just incredible! Check out the website– there are HUNDREDS more where these came from!
